Returning for her sixth retreat in Almeria, Ann keeps coming back for its unique energy—a warm, golden space that creates the perfect environment for Yoga.
Ann has been teaching yoga in London for 15 years in studios including East of Eden, TripSpace and Arc Islington. Her love for Yoga stemmed from her original career as a dancer and for many years she ran the two alongside one another.
Her sequences tend to draw from her interest in movement as a whole but often explore anatomical concepts and all that it is to be human. The nature of the mind and our emotional and energetic landscapes.
About:
This Elemental Retreat draws inspiration from the four natural elements, guiding us through a journey along the midline of the body. We’ll explore each element in relation to our physical form:
• Earth: Grounding the hips and legs
• Water: Fluidity through the spine
• Fire: Igniting the core
• Air: Expanding the chest and shoulders
Through a combination of anatomical exploration and Asana (postures), we’ll deepen our practice and weave in reflective themes to enrich our experience on and off the mat.
What to Expect:
• Vinyasa Yoga: A dynamic morning flow, incorporating pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation. Expect thoughtful sequencing that is accessible for all levels.
• Slow Flow: A quieter, slower-paced practice focused on introspection, low-lying postures, sustained holds, and self-massage.
• Yoga Nidra – Sleep Meditation: A deeply restorative practice of guided meditation. Done lying down with the support of props, Yoga Nidra encourages a profound state of rest and awareness.

• Agua Amarga: A charming coastal village with a sandy beach, perfect for swimming and lounging. Here, you’ll find small cafes where you can dip into the shade, and local restaurants. We’ll meet for an early supper together.

Ann was first introduced to Yoga whilst training as a dancer at London Contemporary Dance School.
The instant improvement she experienced in strength and flexibility made her curious to discover more about Yoga and it’s extensive uses and benefits.
For Ann one of the most exciting aspects of yoga is that it has the potential to recognise the whole of a being. She has trained specifically with this interest and tailors her teaching to embrace this holistic approach.
VINYASA
Ann has been teaching a soft, creative style of Vinyasa Flow across London for the past 10 years.
Her original teacher training was 500 hours BWY with Danny DeVille. She has since sought out wisdom from many wonderful teachers- including Jason Crandell adding texture and depth to this foundation.
Her interest in how the body moves is largely influenced by her work in dance, whereas the breathing, asana and esoteric elements stem from her education in Yoga and its rich history of ideas and styles.
RESTORATIVE
Ann trained in restorative with Judith Hanson Lasater and is an Advanced Certified ‘Relax and Renew’ teacher.
Believing whole heartedly that being able to access this profoundly restful state is deeply important to being healthy human beings.
It works in harmony with her more flow based teachings and fits well with embracing all necessary aspects of wellness.
YOGA NIDRA
Nidra translates as sleep.
This is a guided meditation which welcomes you home to your true nature. Something to be experienced rather than described!
Ann studied with Uma Dinsmore Tuli and Nirlipta Tuli and continues her studies into Richard Miller’s ‘iRest’ method.
