Our classes will offer an invigorating morning practice to open the body and include breathwork,
asana practice, simple meditation and conclude with guided relaxation. There will be plenty of time
then for you to relax, explore locally, walk to the local village or arrange a trip to the beach before
we meet again late afternoon for a more restorative and nourishing Yin-based class. Classes will
take place in the indoor yoga shala which is fully equipped and air-conditioned. There will be 1 yoga- free day midweek to allow for a longer excursion.
Ann Brandon and Katy Broomfield
Katy and Ann met through yoga and have been friends for nearly 25 years. Ann is based in South
London and Katy recently moved to the South coast – they both teach weekly classes and together
offer retreats in the UK and Europe. Both are certified British Wheel of Yoga Diploma teachers with Yin Yoga training and bring over 40 years’ combined teaching experience.
Katy’s teaching is about slow, creative warmups and limbering, working towards peak poses, with focus on good alignment, breath and use of modifications and props to suit every body. Katy favours a somatic approach with mindfulness and breathwork as the foundation of her teaching.
Ann’s style has developed into a deep, slow vinyasa flow with much attention to alignment,
strength, and use of props to support asana. Her Yin yoga training brings balance to her naturally Yang style practice and she enjoys teaching inversion and being upside down!
