The 2024 Course Programme

The ‘Five Elements of Nature’ Retreat with Julie Robinson
12 Apr - 15 Apr 2024

Join me to spend 3 leisurely spring days nourishing yourself with yoga, breathwork, meditation, and more…. and immerse yourself in the power of the elements on my Wales retreat.

The Forest Hideaway is a hidden gem, nestled in a lush and private river valley. You will have 20 acres of woodland paths to ramble and explore. Our venue was originally a smallholding dating back to 1706. It has since been lovingly restored and offers accommodation in raised yurts, gorgeous shepherds huts, and cottages. There is a fully equipped yoga shala, and a cosy barn where we will eat the delicious meals prepared for us by the fabulous Huzur Vadisi chefs Rowan and Lucy.

The Yoga

The elements are the building blocks of everything in existence, as well as our human bodies. How we live, the stressors we succumb to, our environment, and the interactions and connections we have with others can affect the subtle balance of the elements. Each element corresponds to a sense, body parts and their functions, and the energy centres we know as chakras. Imbalance in the elemental body can lead to experiences of disharmony and dis-ease.

Join me on this retreat to turn your attention inward, consider the power the elements hold for you, and honour your elemental body.

Across the 3 days we will enjoy varied early morning and late afternoon practices.

I welcome all interested yogis to join me on this 3 day retreat. The yoga will be accessible to all yogi levels including complete beginners. All I ask is that you bring an open mind and a willingness to participate, share and learn. My retreats are fun as previous participants will confirm. I am so lucky to have students return again and again and find that a warm and welcoming community grows easily in just 3 days. Leave refreshed and reconnected to what’s really important to you.

Non yogi partners are welcome to join the retreat and spend time exploring the area if yoga is not their thing!

Please note. This retreat is not suitable for people who are only interested in strong physical yoga as a variety of other yoga practices will be included.

Julie Robinson

I have been involved in many areas of the world of yoga, taken many trainings, and continue to learn every single time I land on my yoga mat. My teaching and self development is an ongoing joy for me. I am inspired by new learning and love to bring more to my own practice and to my students. Attending teacher trainings regularly. Over the years, I have studied with highly renowned teachers and therapists including Max Strom, Tias Little, Paul Grilley, Anodea Judith, Norman Blair, Tari Prinster and Heather Mason.

2018 saw the completion of my Yoga Therapy training with The Minded Institute. Since then I have worked more intensively as a yoga therapist, supervisor and mentor.

As my students and clients will attest, I am a friendly, down to earth person with a good sense of humour!  I have always worked with people, as a nurse, as a hostel manager with different client groups, and also as a practice manager in a busy inner city general practice. I bring my wide and varied life and yoga experience to my teaching and therapy work, and aim to infuse my offerings to you with the wisdom of yoga, the science of yoga therapy… and joy.

I have a deep love of yoga which I hope to share through my teaching and therapy. We are all on a journey together!
