New Year Detox Retreat with Simon Rowe

Reset yourself for the upcoming year on this detox retreat with Simon in the mountains of beautiful mid-Wales. The venue is cosy, perfect for a winter retreat, with underfloor eco-biomass heating and wood burning stoves.

Retreat Details

Arrive Friday at 4pm, depart Monday 10am. All inclusive – full bed and board, yoga instruction, use of all facilities (gym, fully equipped yoga shala, sauna, 200-acre grounds, hill walks, lake swimming!). Arrive by car or train, transfers from the nearby station of Caersws can be arranged.

The agenda includes yoga on Friday early evening, then dinner; the weekend includes morning meditation/pranayama sessions with late morning & early evening yoga sessions, finishing with meditation /pranayama on Monday morning, leaving after breakfast (Approximately 12hrs total tuition).

For those with enough energy we will have hill walks on Saturday and Sunday afternoon for hardy souls!

Onsite massages with an excellent therapist can be arranged for an extra fee.

 

About Simon

Simon is a Senior Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance Professionals’ Association, providing instruction to thousands of students and classes over twenty years. He is also a registered Yoga Teacher Member of the Independent Yoga Network. Originally working in banking for 10 years and in corporate treasury for a further 10, he decided a lifestyle change was in order, so quit, sold his house and enrolled on a 3-year Shiatsu course, also travelling to India where he undertook intensive training with Duncan Hulin, Yoga Director, Devon School of Yoga in Kerala where he completed the school’s Teacher Trainer Foundation Course in Hatha Yoga. Intensive workshops in Pranayama, Meditation and Asanas followed, and further advanced Teacher Training workshops with the Devon School of Yoga. He went on to train in Yin Yoga with Sarah Powers at Tri-Yoga in London and a Sivananda Yoga retreat with Ishwara in Cumbria. Additionally, Simon also trained in Bodywork and Osteopathic Spinal Manipulation therapies to aid hands-on adjustments. A Meditation retreat with the British Taoist Association, studying Taoist philosophy, daoyin qigong, walking meditations and sitting practices deepened his practice. He is also a qualified Zen Shiatsu practitioner and Traditional Acupuncturist trained in Osteopathic Spinal Manipulation, which helps his hands on adjustments for those Yoga practitioners wishing to improve their Yoga posture alignments and fix damaged bodies!

Price depends on final numbers but will be in the region of £525 shared, £595 single occupancy.
